Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday- Friday
Work Format: On-site, Astana, BC Q2, Kabanbay Batyr 15/1

Responsibilities:

• Maintain tax accounting for Corporate Income Tax (CIT) and VAT in accordance with current legislation

• Monitor and control taxation of transactions with non-residents

• Prepare and provide breakdowns for financial statements upon request of auditors, management, and regulatory authorities

• Review proper processing of non-standard transactions in 1C (including loans, fixed asset operations, loss carryforwards, gratuitous transfers, etc.)

• Approve adjustments to closed periods and liaise with internal and external auditors on these matters

• Supervise and coordinate the work of senior accountants (regarding taxes, settlements with counterparties, etc.)

• Control the accounting of settlements with counterparties, analyze receivables/payables, and participate in inventory counts

• Review and approve reports submitted to the National Bank and other government authorities

• Participate in optimizing accounting and tax processes, and develop methodological guidelines

Requirements:

• Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or Economics

• At least 3–5 years of experience as Deputy Chief Accountant or Senior / Lead Accountant

• Strong knowledge of Kazakhstan tax legislation (especially CIT, VAT, taxation of non-residents)

• Excellent proficiency in 1C 8.3: Accounting, including experience with non-standard operations

• Experience with financial reporting, breakdowns, and supporting documentation

• Ability to handle large volumes of data, high attention to detail, and strong sense of responsibility

• Experience interacting with regulatory and auditing bodies (tax authorities, auditors, National Bank, etc.) & relayed reporting

• Ability to work under pressure & within deadline during monthly, quarterly & annual closure & reporting to Japan HQ

• Professional Accountant Certificate of the Republic of Kazakhstan
