The AIFC Authority is seeking an experienced Head of IT Operations to lead and manage its IT infrastructure and Helpdesk services. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability of systems and networks, managing vendor relationships, and driving technological innovations to boost efficiency and productivity.
Key responsibilities:
IT Operations management
- Oversee the daily operations of IT systems, networks, and the helpdesk, ensuring smooth and reliable performance.
- Develop and implement IT policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards and AIFC regulations.
- Plan and integrate new technologies to improve IT infrastructure and support the organization’s strategic objectives.
- Manage IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, and cloud computing services, ensuring optimal operation and security.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions to improve the organization's IT capabilities.
- Maintain strong relationships with vendors, service providers, and internal stakeholders to meet technology needs.
- Oversee IT budgeting and ensure cost-effective resource allocation.
Functional division leadership
- Lead the planning, assignment of tasks, and performance management of the IT team.
- Develop and enforce IT policies and procedures to ensure confidentiality, safety, and compliance.
- Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on IT performance and productivity.
- Offer strategic advice on IT improvements, policy updates, and overall departmental enhancement.
People management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
- Conduct performance reviews, set KPIs, and support team members in their professional development.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and relevant regulations across the IT team.
- Promote knowledge sharing and best practices within the team to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Master’s degree in IT or an MBA is a plus.
- 5-7 years of IT experience, with at least 1 year in a management role.
- Proven track record of managing IT operations, systems, and networks.
- Experience with IT policy development, vendor management, and budgeting.
- Strong leadership and management capabilities.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity.
- Ability to evaluate and implement new technologies aligned with business needs.
- Fluent in English, with proficiency in Kazakh and Russian preferred.
- Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Detail-oriented and committed to ensuring system security and efficiency.
