Are you eager to kickstart your career in mergers and acquisitions? KPMG is looking for a motivated Intern to join our M&A, Deal Advisory Department in Astana. Our M&A team specializes in guiding clients through the complexities of divestments and acquisitions, providing comprehensive support from initial planning to deal closure. You'll have the opportunity to work closely with top management and key stakeholders, assisting them in enhancing their business strategies through effective transactions.

As an Intern in M&A, you will:

  • Support the M&A process: Provide technical support and actively participate in all stages of transactions, ensuring smooth execution and client satisfaction.

  • Conduct data collection: Gather essential information on potential transaction parties to facilitate informed decision-making.

  • Prepare financial models: Assist in creating financial models and conducting indicative pricing analyses to evaluate transaction feasibility.

  • Compile process documents: Structure and compile key documents such as information memoranda and teasers to present to stakeholders effectively.

  • Coordinate due diligence: Manage the preparation of the data room and oversee the due diligence process, maintaining regular communication with clients, investors, and due diligence teams.

  • Assist in business development: Gather and analyze market information to identify key drivers, players, trends, and potential targets in the M&A landscape.

  • Create marketing materials: Prepare various marketing documents, including pitches, proposals, and company profiles, to support business development efforts.

  • Participate in other M&A activities: Engage in additional tasks related to M&A that contribute to the overall objectives of the team.

You’re the perfect match for this role if you:

  • Hold a strong academic record with at least a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in finance or economics.
  • Have knowledge of financial accounting, valuation methodologies, and techniques.
  • Are familiar with principal information and research sources such as Merger Market, Thomson Financial, Bloomberg, SPARK, and Factiva.
  • Are pursuing or have obtained ACCA or CFA certifications (a plus).
  • Possess an excellent command of English and Russian for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
  • Can quickly adapt to changing environments and circumstances, demonstrating flexibility and resilience.
  • Have an inquisitive and creative mindset, along with strong analytical skills and excellent interpersonal abilities for client communication and teamwork.
  • Exhibit a drive for creative problem-solving, contributing innovative solutions to complex challenges.
