We are seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Consultant to join our team at KPMG. This role is perfect for someone with foundational knowledge in cybersecurity, a keen interest in IT controls, and a drive to build a career in a dynamic consulting environment.
As our Junior Cybersecurity Consultant you will:
- Work with experienced teams on diverse and complex cybersecurity projects.
- Conduct security and gap analysis reviews in line with industry-leading standards such as NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and Cybersecurity Capability Maturity Models.
- Assist in developing long-term security strategies aligned with business goals.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls.
- Perform risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and prioritize cybersecurity threats.
- Provide detailed evaluations of an organization’s preparedness against cyber risks.
You’re the perfect match for this role if you:
- Have completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related fields.
- Are eager to grow your career in the cybersecurity domain.
- Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Have a foundational understanding of IT General Controls and controls-based audits.
- Are familiar with information security principles, controls, and technologies.
- Have work experience (preferred, but not mandatory).
- Are fluent in Russian and possess at least Intermediate-level proficiency in both Kazakh and English.
