Are you ready to step into a leadership role in audit? KPMG is looking for a dynamic Audit Manager to join our Audit Department in Astana. This position offers the opportunity to lead complex projects for top-tier clients, manage teams, and influence strategic initiatives within KPMG's audit function.

As an Audit Manager, you will:

  • Team Leadership: Lead fieldwork teams, supervising, mentoring, and coaching junior staff to ensure their professional growth and maximum potential.
  • Client Management: Manage a portfolio of audit clients, acting as the primary contact throughout the year, handling audit finances, and reporting to Partners and Directors.
  • Audit Planning & Execution: Oversee the planning and execution of audit fieldwork and statutory reporting for a diverse range of clients.
  • Project Management: Ensure efficient project delivery by managing timelines, team briefings, and supervising the audit process.
  • Financial Oversight: Monitor project budgets and optimize financial performance to drive profitability.
  • Complex Issue Resolution: Identify, research, and resolve complex audit issues, providing high-quality advice and guidance.
  • Client Relationships: Build strong client relationships, prepare deliverables, and represent KPMG as an ambassador to senior client staff.
  • Strategic Initiatives: Participate in audit-related projects, tenders, and help drive the firm's strategic goals, particularly within the Banking department.

You’re the perfect match for this role if you:

  • Hold an undergraduate or master’s degree, with membership in a recognized accounting body (ACCA, CPA).
  • Possess a Kazakhstani auditor’s license (preferable but not mandatory).
  • Have at least 5 years of audit experience in financial services, ideally within the banking sector.
  • Have a solid understanding of IFRS; US GAAP experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor, guide, and provide clear feedback to teams.
  • Are proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and comfortable working in a digital environment.
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence senior leaders.
  • Are committed to delivering high-quality work under pressure, with a solution-driven mindset.
