The Manager is assigned the following functions:

  1. administrative support for teaching staff in organizing research activities;
  2. consulting and administrative support for students and teachers providing scientific assistance services within the framework of research projects and grаntfunding;
  3. information and advice on all grаntfunding opportunities, including local and international grants;
  4. compliance with the rules and requirements of regulatory authorities for the provision of financing;
  5. assistance in conducting negotiations and meetings on the School’s research activities, as well as organizing School meetings on research activities and monitoring decision-making;
  6. assistance in conducting negotiations and meetings on research ethics, as well as organizing school meetings on research ethics and monitoring decision-making;
  7. coordination and administrative support in the implementation of research work of the School’s teaching staff;
  8. control and execution of the School’s scientific budget, analysis and reporting of expenses;
  9. interaction with the strategic partner of the School and other structural divisions of the University on issues related to research activities;
  10. development and monitoring of compliance with scientific policies and procedures relating to the research activities of the School, in agreement with the Vice Dean for Research and the Dean of the School;
  11. support in organizing and conducting scientific seminars of the School, regional and international conferences and presentations on the School’s research;
  12. development, coordination, control and execution of contracts initiated by the School, in which the responsible executor is the Manager;
  13. assistance in administrative and operational support of the functioning of the School’s research center;
  14. control, preparation and presentation of reports on the research activities of the School;
  15. monitoring and informing teaching staff about changes in research activities and entering information about the work done into the database;
  16. participation in the processes of identification, assessment, management, and monitoring of risks within the supervised area;
  17. Support the Vice Dean for Research in university-level reporting related to the provision of training and accreditation. Supporting the school's accreditation efforts related to research activities;
  18. provides administrative support to the Dean, Vice-Dean for Research, teaching staff and students in organizing research activities, research projects and grаntfunding, including coordination of social policy grants;

Education: Higher professional, preferably in higher educational institutions with teaching in English.

Master's degree preferred.

Work experience: The required work experience is determined in accordance with the standard qualification requirements for administrative positions in the autonomous educational organization “Nazarbayev University”.
