AIFC Authority seeking a Mining sector analyst to join our team and provide key financial and business insights that will help shape the future of the industry.
Key responsibilities:
Financial analysis:
- Evaluate mineral reserves and production using advanced methods.
- Assess the financial performance of mining projects.
- Develop and maintain financial models to assess profitability and risk.
Business analysis:
- Analyze market trends, the competitive environment, and relevant legal aspects within Kazakhstan's mining industry.
- Conduct analysis on projects related to carbon management and the insurance industry.
- Create structured and visually engaging presentations in PowerPoint to communicate key information.
- Prepare strategic recommendations to optimize business processes and enhance project attractiveness.
Investment project evaluation:
- Analyze investment opportunities in the mining sector.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for management and investors in both English and Russian.
Team collaboration:
- Coordinate with engineering, operations departments, and external consultants to gather necessary data.
- Support decision-making processes with directors through data-driven insights.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an analyst in the mining industry.
- Strong understanding of the mining sector and key performance indicators.
- Advanced PowerPoint skills.
- Proficiency in financial tools, financial modeling, and assessment methods.
- Expertise in conducting industry research and market analysis.
- Ability to present complex information clearly and in a structured manner.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills, with great attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and adapt quickly to changing environments.
- Advanced level of English.
