What You’ll Do
We are looking for a passionate and skilled DPI Researcher to join our R&D team and help push the boundaries of traffic classification and network intelligence.
As a DPI Researcher at TJJ, you’ll play a key role in advancing our traffic classification capabilities. You’ll research and implement identification algorithms, maintain DPI signatures, and contribute to innovative detection methods for encrypted and emerging network protocols. Your work will have a direct impact on the visibility, security, and control TJJ provides to its customers.

Responsibilities:

• Research and develop cutting-edge DPI detection algorithms for encrypted and obfuscated traffic
• Reverse-engineer and analyze traffic patterns from mobile, desktop, and IoT applications
• Develop and maintain DPI protocol signatures across a wide range of application types
• Write and maintain automation tools and scripts to support analysis and protocol detection
• Investigate anonymizers, evasive apps, and traffic anomalies
• Stay ahead of emerging technologies and protocols to ensure up-to-date detection capabilities
• Contribute to the integration of DPI engines in high-performance, real-time systems

What We Are Looking For

• B.Sc. or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Solid understanding of network protocols and architecture, including: o TCP/IP, HTTP/S, SSL/TLS, SSH, DNS, VPNs, VoIP, NAT
• Experience with packet analysis tools (e.g., Wireshark, tcpdump)
• Experience with programming in Python or C/C++ or Java
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, self-motivated and independent
• Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Experience

• Experience with DPI or network traffic classification technologies
• Familiarity with cybersecurity concepts and evasion techniques
• Experience in reverse engineering, malware analysis, or protocol decoding
• Familiarity with machine learning for traffic classification
• Experience with IoT and mobile communication protocols
