AIFC Authority is seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our Accounting, Tax, and Treasury Department. In this key role, you will support our subsidiaries by maintaining accurate financial records, providing tax accounting support, and ensuring compliance with local and international regulations. You will also be responsible for the timely recording of financial transactions and delivering comprehensive financial reporting to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain comprehensive accounting records, financial statements, and tax procedures for assigned subsidiaries.
• Accurately record financial transactions in 1C Accounting software.
• Participate in inventories of fixed assets, intangible assets, and inventory items.
• Monitor document compliance for payments, ensuring data accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain full tax accounting, ensuring compliance with the Republic of Kazakhstan's Tax Code.
• Verify VAT data for goods, works, and services, and participate in declaration preparation and reconciliation.
• Prepare and submit financial reports.
• Handle operational actions related to the placement of free funds, preparing requests and reporting cash positions.
• Support external auditors by providing required documentation and reports.
• Participate in month-end close processes, preparing journal entries and accruals.
• Provide advice and methodological support on accounting and tax issues to other divisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).
• 3-5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related fields.
• Professional Accountant of the Republic of Kazakhstan qualification preferred.
• Certifications in international financial reporting (ACCA, DipIFR) or progress towards obtaining them.

Skills and Competencies:

• Strong ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• In-depth knowledge of accounting, tax legislation, and IFRS.
• Understanding of international accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Kazakh, Russian, and English.
