The international IT-company Andersen invites a System Administrator Linux to work on a large-scale project for one of our German customers.
The customer is a leading provider of AI-based solutions for search, navigation, and merchandising in the eCommerce sector. Trusted by over 2,000 online shops in both B2B and B2C markets, the company enhances the shopping experience by delivering personalized and relevant results.
The projects are various, in telecommunications and website optimization, and also include support for the client's infrastructure. Work within the projects will allow users to improve the search on the Internet sites.
Responsibilities:
- Providing ongoing support for the company's products, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Classifying and prioritizing issues reported by users or monitoring systems.
- Routing issues to the appropriate second-level support teams, including backend and infrastructure teams.
- Addressing and resolving customer user interface issues promptly and efficiently.
- Performing weekly data imports from customer databases, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Managing and executing operating system patching, ensuring systems are up-to-date and secure (typically handled through a single ticket).
- Adhering to strong SLAs for data import processes, ensuring timely and reliable data handling.
Must haves:
- Experience as a System Administrator for 2+ years.
- Experience with Docker.
- Understanding of Swarm.
- Proficient in managing and maintaining Linux-based systems.
- Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to compose basic queries.
- Understanding of basic JSON structures.
- Basic scripting skills for automation and task management.
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Swagger for API documentation.
- Knowledge of SDKs.
- Experience with Veeam for backup and recovery solutions.
- Skills in managing and troubleshooting network issues.
- Experience in managing storage solutions.
- Ability to analyze and interpret system logs.
- Knowledge of load balancing techniques and system optimization.
- Experience with Apache Tomcat server.
- Experience in debugging, hosting, and deploying within a CI/CD pipeline.
- Willingness to occasionally work overnight.
- Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
