Deloitte Consulting seeks highly qualified candidates for the anticipated USAID-funded Regional Connectivity Project in Central Asia. This five-year activity will aim to regional connectivity and cooperation among the five countries of Central Asia, while building linkages with the United States and beyond.
Deloitte Consulting is recruiting for a Central Asian experienced Trade Sector Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the trade sector, with a proven track record of working on international development projects. The role involves providing technical expertise and strategic guidance to foster regional trade cooperation and connectivity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance trade connectivity and cooperation among Central Asian countries.
- Collaborate with local and international stakeholders and project partners to ensure successful project implementation.
- Facilitate linkages between Central Asia and international markets.
- Monitor and evaluate project progress and manage risk, ensuring alignment with USAID goals and objectives.
- Provide & ensure technical compliance and assistance with the agreement/contract with USAID and timely delivery of project activities.
- Provide oversight on design and management of competitive grаntprocesses and procedures to ensure alignment with project objectives and impact measurement of grant-funded projects.
- Oversee the performance of diverse project staff, including Deloitte’s and those of the partners/sub-awardees.
- Establish effective communication and coordination with key stakeholders, including local leadership, to implement interventions and incorporate country-wide priorities.
- Create a positive working environment for all staff and ensure fair professional growth and training opportunities for team members.
Minimum Qualifications:
- BA or MA or equivalent degree in a related field of study (e.g., economics, finance and investment, business management, international trade, etc.)
- Extensive experience in the trade sector, preferably within the context of international development.
- Proven track record of working on donor-funded projects.
- Strong understanding of trade policies, regional connectivity, and economic cooperation.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and dynamic environment.
- Minimum of seven years’ experience providing relevant expertise and leadership on development programs, preferably with USAID and in the Central Asia region.
- English proficiency (written and spoken) and excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
