Consultant to FS team (Strategy and Operations)

We’re looking for a Consultant 2-3 to join our Financial Services (FS) team in the Strategy & Operations group at KPMG in Astana/Almaty. As part of our dynamic team, you’ll tackle complex challenges, deliver high-impact solutions, and support strategic transformations for leading banking and financial institutions.

As our Consultant, you will:

• Collaborate directly with clients to understand their challenges and deliver tailored solutions.
• Work with cross-functional teams to develop innovative strategies for operational improvements and regulatory compliance.
• Manage independent workstreams within larger projects, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Assist in bank restructuring projects and advise clients on regulatory compliance issues.
• Conduct thorough data collection and analysis, developing actionable recommendations and insights.
• Prepare compelling reports and presentations, communicating key findings and strategies to client stakeholders

You’re a great fit if you:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Have 2+ years of experience in management consulting, banking, or financial services.
• Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and corporate finance principles.
• Are an advanced user of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in Russian and English.
• Have knowledge of industry trends and best practices in the banking and financial services sector.
• Hold or are pursuing certifications such as CFA, ACCA, or CIMA (preferred).
• Exhibit a collaborative mindset, high attention to detail, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
