Maple Bear Astana is currently expanding operations and is looking for experienced, enthusiastic, imaginative, creative, and dedicated fluent English-speaking teachers based in Astana. Candidates will be responsible for nurturing and developing the knowledge, abilities, and social skills of children.

Job Responsibilities:

• Teaching and supervising a group of kindergarten children between 1,6 and 6 years of age; working jointly with a co-teacher;
• Planning and implementing activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social aspect of the students;
• Employ a variety of educational techniques (storytelling, educational play, media etc.) to teach children;
• Actively develop the learning environment at the kindergarten to the benefit of the children and other staff to further implement and develop the curriculum policies of Maple Bear through pursuing objectives of the specially designed curriculum;
• Assessing the kindergarteners’ progress and preparing report cards and progress reports.
• Liaison with parents;
• Maintaining a friendly and supportive work and learning environment.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor of Education degree or higher OR a four-year university degree with ECE (early childhood education) / NTT (nursery teachers’ training) qualifications;
• A minimum of 3 years’ excellent teaching experience at the kindergarten or primary school level;
• Near-native fluency in English with excellent communication skills;
• Knowledge of Russian or Kazakh is preferable;
• Team player and able to work in a diverse environment.
