The IT company Andersen invites an experienced Frontend Developer (React Native) to work on a project for our Asian partner.

The customer is the largest online real estate company. It offers access to more than 2 million homes across Southeast Asia, including new developments and resale apartments, for purchase or rent. The company has grown from a media company into a leading tech company, managing top property portals and award-winning mobile apps in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

The project is mobile applications for agents and consumers, aiming to enhance existing flows, fix bugs, introduce new tools, and improve the user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and improving software.
• Building pixel-perfect, smooth UIs across both mobile platforms.
• Leveraging native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms.
• Diagnosing and fixing bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native.
• Reaching out to the open-source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes — React Native moves fast and often breaks things. - Monitoring the performance of the live app and continuously improving it on both code and experience levels.
• Unit-testing code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability.
• Collaborating with QA on automated and manual testing to ensure our app releases.
• Raising the bar by reviewing each other’s code, sharing knowledge, tips & tricks, and generally helping out – within and across teams, including pair programming.

Must-haves:

• Experience in professional software development from 4+ years.
• Experience in working with React Native from 2+ years.
• Ability to write well-documented, clean Javascript code.
• Experience in testing with tools like Jest, Mocha.
• Familiarity with native build tools, like XCode, Gradle.
• Working knowledge of several architectural approaches, caching, data storage, and security.
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
• Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
• Excellent communication skills needed to work with stakeholders.
• Collaborative attitude, ability to take ownership
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
