O&M Contract and Engineering Lead

The position will perform engineering, procurement and contractual tasks for Operations and Maintenance activities related to the renewables assets in Kazakhstan:

Operation and Maintenance tasks

Contracts :

For the following contracts :

• • BOP service and maintenance contract(s)
  • BESS maintenance contract
  • WTG Service and Maintenance Agreement
  • O&M Base and related services

and potentially a few additional ones identified required as part of the overall O&M contracting strategy :

• Develop scopes of work and attached documents, and contractual documents in the negotiation phase, as required, identify articles at risk and make relevant proposals to make acceptable compromise
• Prepare a set of relevant Key Performance Indicators to be used in our various O&M contracts, and the way to generate them efficiently
• Perform necessary requests for proposals, calls for tenders, negotiations of the contracts

Engineering (pre-project, design and execution phases):

• Prepare Operations and Maintenance (O&M) employer documents including but not limited to:
  • Operation & Maintenance Philosophy, Control and SCADA philosophy
  • Support other departments, for example HSE (HSE exhibits, Security Philosophy, HAZID, etc.), project development and execution teams (O&M requirements, Operability, Operational risks, etc.)
  • Preservation, Commissioning and Start-Up philosophy
• Review in a constructive manner, including relevant proposals, and as needed all the documents issued internally or received from the manufacturers, which may impact the future Operation and Maintenance of the projects, including but not limited to :
  • WTG, BESS, BOP design documentation : Safety Concept, Technical Concept, single line diagrams (SLD), Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), mechanical drawings, logic diagrams, etc.
  • Interfaces between the packages : WTG, BESS, BOP,
  • Operation and Maintenance documentation, ensuring all the key information are available and legible, including but not limited to :
    • Safety Concept in Operation
    • Evacuation and Rescue plan
    • Emergency Response plan
    • O&M manuals
    • Black Start procedure
    • Spare Part lists and specifications
    • Specific Tooling lists and specifications
    • Preventative Maintenance programs

            • Preventative Maintenance programs
            • • • Maintenance procedures for minor, major maintenance tasks, and Major Component Repairs (MCR)
                • Inspection procedures of all components, with special focus on Major Components (blades, drive train and generator)
                • Statutory inspection program and qualifications required

            • Asset management:

            • • Preparation of documentations and presentations for internal committees and external reviews/approval processes.
              • Preparation of O&M budgets and LTP.
              • Development of mobilization plans, staffing plans, staff requirements.
              • Perform other AM/O&M related topics, for example local content development (university program, local college programs), BESS technical center, production forecasting strategy.
              • Collaborate with other departments, HQ, OT, GPI during performing duties

            • Qualifications/Experienced required:
            • Engineer or bachelor’s degree
            • Minimum 10 years of overall experience in renewable or related electrical industrial areas
            • Minimum 3 years of experience on managerial positions or as a lead.
            • Language: English, Russian, Kazakh
            • Excellent knowledge of the renewable energy market and regulatory framework
            • Project management expertise and experience in organizing and facilitating high-stakes meetings.
            • Strong analytical, modelling and risk analysis skills / Good knowledge of Excel, other MS office software
            • Excellent analytical skills
            • Excellent interpersonal skills
