We're currently seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Financial Risk Management Group in Astana/Almaty, who is eager to expand their expertise in credit risk and risk management. In this role, you’ll assess and develop risk methodologies, review capital adequacy frameworks, and implement IFRS standards for leading financial institutions.

As our Senior Consultant you will:

• Develop quantitative financial risk assessment methodologies and review client risk management systems
• Implement Basel capital adequacy frameworks and capital allocation methods
• Manage transitions to IFRS 9 and IFRS 17 for major banks and corporations
• Reengineer business processes to enhance risk management effectiveness
• Analyze large datasets and develop econometric models to assess credit risks

You’re the perfect match for this role if you:

• Hold a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Economics, or a related technical field
• Have 2-3 years of experience in credit risk assessment model development (PD, LGD, EA)
• Are proficient in Python, Excel (with VBA), and ideally in R, SAS, or MATLAB
• Possess strong communication skills and can thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Have a solid working knowledge of English (Upper-Intermediate or higher)
