Position Overview: 

Coventry University Kazakhstan is seeking a dynamic and student-focused Student Life Manager to lead and deliver a range of programs that enhance the student experience on campus. This role is essential in creating an inclusive, engaging, and vibrant campus life through events, student clubs, and co-curricular activities. The Student Life Manager will work closely with university departments, student representatives, and external partners to ensure all students feel welcomed, connected, and supported throughout their academic journey.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Student Engagement & Activities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver campus-wide student events, including cultural celebrations, social gatherings, sports events, and awareness campaigns.

• Support and oversee student clubs and societies; provide training, resources, and guidance for student leaders.

• Develop initiatives that build a strong sense of community, inclusion, and student pride.

2. Orientation & Transition Support

• Lead the planning and execution of orientation programs for new students in collaboration with the Admissions and Academic Support teams.

• Support transition programs for international students, exchange students, and students progressing between academic years.

3. Student Leadership Development

• Foster leadership and personal development opportunities through workshops, volunteering, and student governance involvement.

• Mentor student ambassadors and student uniоnrepresentatives in event planning, communication, and leadership.

4. Communication & Promotion

• Promote student activities and events through effective channels (email, social media, posters, website).

• Maintain an active presence on campus and online to encourage participation and gather student feedback.

5. Collaboration & Campus Partnerships

• Liaise with academic and administrative departments to integrate student life into the broader university experience.

• Work with external vendors, NGOs, and local organizations to enrich programming and services for students.

6. Inclusion & Wellbeing Support

• Promote a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, celebrating cultural diversity and supporting underrepresented groups.

• Collaborate with the Student Support and Counselling teams to contribute to student well-being initiatives and awareness campaigns.

7. Administration & Reporting

• Maintain accurate records of student engagement, events, and feedback.

• Assist in budget tracking for student life activities and provide input into annual planning and reporting.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Event Management, or a related field.

• Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in student engagement, event coordination, or student affairs.

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

• Ability to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends for events.

• Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Kazakh and/or Russian is an advantage.
