Job Summary:

The Tax Analyst is a member of the Finance team who, under the supervision of the GeoUnit Tax Manager, provides varied assistance and advice in support of SLB operations in Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. Our Tax Team (Part of Finance Department) is looking for someone with genuine interest to legal work and engagement.

Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

• Prepare fiscal accounts;

• Control variances between fiscal and management data;

• Review tax and statistics compliance;

• Coordinate tax and statistics return submissions;

• Communicate with tax and other state authorities as required;

• Handle all types of tax control performed by tax authorities, including tax audits;

• Review Balance Sheet, prepare associated notes;

• Participate in tax related internal management reporting.

Key Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's and / or Master's with degree in Accounting/ Finance;
• Tax related certificates and Professional qualifications – ACCA/ CPA/ CIMA/ local KZ CPA are a plus (completed/ongoing; international/domestic);
• Total working experience in Finance (tax/ accounting) – minimum 4-5 years;
• Preferably BIG-4 Tax experience (equivalent of Experienced Consultant or Senior Consultant);
• Knowledge of international taxation is a plus;
• Sound soft skills (communication);
• Analytical mindset;
• Experienced MS Excel user;
• Strong desire to learn and progress in the world’s leading oilfield service provider.
