Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your financial expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and detail-oriented teammates.

Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (such as Accounting, Supply Chain, and Regional Treasury), coordinate with external parties like auditors and banks, and oversee treasury-related reporting and forecasting, among other responsibilities.

You’ll specifically take care of cash flow forecasting and analysis but also collaborate on process improvements and risk management controls.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Coordinating payment, collateral, and treasury-related dashboards

  • Recommending and implementing improvements to cash management and payment processes

  • Preparing and maintaining cash flow forecasts (long-term, monthly, weekly) and analyzing deviations

  • Managing daily corporate cash operations and ensuring adequate liquidity for payments

  • Developing and ensuring control over payment requests outside automated ERP flows

  • Interfacing with accounting for bank reconciliations and troubleshooting

  • Coordinating bank relationships and ensuring compliance with AML and currency regulations

  • Supporting monthly, half-year, and year-end closings

  • Providing audit support and monitoring internal financial controls

  • Analyzing accounts payable, receivable, and down payment positions

All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field

  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in Corporate Finance, including Treasury Operations or in Banking sector

  • Solid understanding of financial analysis and cash management processes

  • Familiarity with cash/bank management systems and tools like SAP, MS Office (Power BI knowledge is a plus)

  • Knowledge of FX risk hedging and internal controls (SOX experience is an advantage)

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail

  • Effective communication skills to convey complex information clearly

  • A structured approach to work with the ability to see the "big picture"

  • Experience in managing cash flows and preparing payments in client-bank systems

  • Trust, integrity, and a commitment to Alstom’s culture and values

Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  • Enjoy stability, challenges, and a long-term career free from boring daily routines

  • Work with advanced financial strategies for global projects

  • Collaborate with supportive and innovative colleagues

  • Contribute to impactful and sustainable projects

  • Utilize our flexible and inclusive working environment

  • Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries

  • Benefit from our investment in your development, through award-winning learning

  • Progress towards leadership roles or specialized financial expertise

  • Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognizes your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension)

  • Thrive with our quality of life perks including corporate shuttlebus, 1fit discount, and well-being service subscription (EMPATHY).

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!
