Andersen is hiring an ML Engineer for a project developing AI-powered recommendation systems and intelligent analytics solutions in the banking domain.

The customer is a large financial institution serving millions of retail and corporate clients. It combines a broad physical presence with strong investment in digital platforms, mobile solutions, data infrastructure, cybersecurity, and open integrations. Technology is central to improving customer experience and scaling modern banking services.

The project is focused on developing an intelligent tender recommendation platform for banking clients. It includes processing tender data and documents, applying OCR and analytics technologies, and delivering personalized recommendations through digital channels to support business opportunities and related financial products.

Responsibilities:

• Implementing production-ready OCR/NLP components.
• Building embedding generation pipeline.
• Integrating PaddleOCR/Tesseract.
• Processing PDFs with PyMuPDF.
• Creating Kafka-based ML workers.
• Optimizing performance.
• Packaging ML components into Docker images.

Requirements:

• Experience in ML engineering or production ML for 3+ years.
• Experience with Python.
• Experience with OCR/NLP pipelines.
• Experience with Sentence-Transformers or similar frameworks.
• Experience with Docker.
• Experience with batch/streaming inference.
• Experience with worker-based processing.
• Experience in model performance optimization.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Nice to haves:

• Experience with PaddleOCR.
• Experience with Tesseract.
• Experience with PyMuPDF.
• Experience with pgvector/vector databases.
• Experience with Kafka workers.
• Experience with MLflow/model registry.
• Experience with ONNX.
• Experience with multilingual models.
• Experience in CPU-based optimization.
